Sizing Information

We tried on a few sizes in this boot and found the length to be true to the stated size, so our advice would be to order the size you usually wear in men’s street shoes. The width is “medium” or D width.

Our Two Cents

The Spark boots by Highway 21 are a classically styled biker boot. This model is offered in two heights.. the taller one shown here and a “low” version (take the link below to view the Low). I used to call these “Dingo” boots, which I’m sure is a brand or trademark, but has become the common name used to describe this boot style with the three straps and rings on each side. The fit and function are pretty much the same as the Highway 21 Primary boot which is an “engineer” style. Anyway, the overall quality of these boots looks pretty good. The leather is thick feels good. The interior of the shaft of the boots is lined with a slightly padded nylon material that looks like it would wear well. These boots have a waterproof liner between the inner liner and the leather to make them waterproof. Most biker boots like this don’t include a waterproof liner, so that is a plus for this design. Nearly every biker will find some rain somewhere from time to time.

The design is simple… these are slip on boots. The straps around the heel and over the instep are decorative only. The size of the shaft from the instep up is generous. The sole of the boots is sturdy and replaceable (according to the manufacturer). The tread pattern on this style is relatively flat as compared to the Primary engineer boots.

Check our photo gallery for shots with a ruler so you can see the overall height and heel height. The vertically challenged will like the thickness of the sole! Take the link below to the shorter version of this same boot. :: Paul, 02-22-18
