Sizing Information

You’d want to buy a jacket in the size you’d normally buy men’s clothes (like your tee shirt/jacket size). The jackets are made slightly taller and larger than standard with the idea you’d be able to wear them over a jacket and pants without having to choose a larger-than-normal size. The chart below gives an estimate of actual measured size. You could choose a jacket size by measuring your chest with your gear on.

Size Chest
Small 43
Medium 46
Large 50
XL 54
XXL 58
XXXL 62

Our Two Cents

Our distributor has some of the rain jackets in stock, but they’ve sold all the pants. I bought them at a good price for our customers who may want a jacket only, or they could be paired with any other rain pant or waterproof riding pants. Here are our previous comments: The Synchro is for those who just need a rain suit in their luggage in case of the infrequent shower. It’s basic PVC construction (to keep the cost low). For comfort the collar is corduroy lined and the jacket has elastic around the waist (to keep wind flap under control). And for safety there is a reflective patch on the back of the jacket. If you want some pants to go with the jacket, I’d suggest the pants shown below.

The FirstGear jacket and pants are first class quality for such a low price. The Joe Rocket Tank Bag with yellow flames adds some color to my otherwise all red bike. I have been buy the bulk of my riding gear from Newenough. (Read more...)

The Armadillo vest is tough! While being worn, it is not particularly noticeable and fits well under any jacket, even ones with some back padding already in place. I got another set of rain-gear, a FirstGear jacket and overpants. (Read more...)
