Our Two Cents

The Invasion pant offers protection and style for street and touring riders. The outer shell of these pants is made of ballistic nylon and they are reinforced with extra material and padding at the knees and hips. Armor includes CE approved removable knee armor and some foam hip armor (although the hip armor is scarcely more than a thin piece of foam). The pants fit very nice. They are reasonably trim feeling, even with the thermal liner installed. They have stretch material above the knees for comfort and mobility. The waist band includes two side Velcro adjustment straps that are really quite functional. I also like the little elastic snap things above and below the knee. You can cinch up the material in that area which makes the armor feel a bit more secure. The overall construction and fit make these good for wearing over underwear, but they really aren’t cut to be overpants (slimmer fit, no side zipper, etc). But it’s nice to have the choice of a pant that has a more sporty fit than typical overpants. For use in wet weather, these pants are fitted with a waterproof seam-sealed non-removable membrane to keep you dry. They also come with a removable EverHeat Thermoliner to keep you warm on a cold day. For mild weather, there is a zippered knee vent to let some air in, but the permanently installed waterproof liner will not allow the air to reach your skin (one of the downsides to waterproof construction), therefore I would recommend these pants for mild to cold weather, but not for warm or hot weather. For night visibility, there is reflective piping sewn throughout the pant. For a closer look, take the “View Larger Pictures” tour above.
