Sizing Information

We measured and tried on a selection of these pants; they measure out pretty consistently with REV’IT!’s published pant size chart (which, by the way is a first, so congratulations to REV’IT!) . Below is the the size chart you can use to choose the size that is best for you.

These pants are available in regular, short and tall inseam sizes, and we found the inseam measurements to match the published figures so we’ve included those also. The pants have adjustability of the armor height (independent of inseam length). Velcro allows you to set the armor in different spots and you can check how the armor feels on your knee when you are sitting on the bike and decide which position seems best. Neat!

Also, the pants have a set of Velcro adjusters at the waist to help you fine tune the fit. We are showing a three inch range which was about what the adjusters seemed to do.

Pant Size Waist Estimate Inseam Reg Inseam Short Inseam Tall
Small 29-31 29 27 -
Med 31-34 30 29 32
Large 33-36 31 30 34
XL 35-38 32 30 34
XXL 37-40 33 31 35
XXXL 39-42 33 32 -
XXXXL 41-44 34 - -

Measurement tips: You’ll want to measure yourself fairly high up the waist because protective style pants like this are cut to ride higher on your waist than a lot of modern jean styles (so relying just upon the size jeans you buy might result in motorcycle pants that are too small). Right below the navel is about the right height on the waist for measurement.

Use as overpants: These pants will likely be used as both overpants over street clothes or as pants over underwear. Since the waist of these pants is relatively high (as discussed above) the waist will ride above the waist line of normal jeans and therefore, I don’t think you will want to up-size with the idea of using them as overpants. But, I would advise that if you are pushing the upper limit of a size or you are between sizes, to choose the larger.

Our Two Cents

The Enterprise pants from REV’IT! are one of my favorites so far this spring. I’m reviewing the black color here now. The overall look of these pants is crisp and clean. Of all the motorcycle-specific pants I’ve seen, these are the most “neat and tidy” design I’ve seen. The material is smooth and non-wrinkly (if that is a word) without being overly stiff or cheap looking. And the material has a firm enough finish on it to not be a big lint collector like some of the softer fabrics we see. The pant shell is water resistant, but the pants are made waterproof with the use of a waterproof barrier that is installed between the pant’s outer shell and the inner lining. There is a gaitor to keep water from entering behind the fly or at the crotch. The fixed waterproof liner and the absence of any sort of venting means these pants will work best from cold weather (particularly if you add some layers underneath) to mild weather… and of course wet weather. In the heat, they’ll be cookers, so invest in a pair of vented pants for that. The pants have zippers part way up the legs to facilitate pulling them on over boots and street clothes. The overall cut isn’t overly roomy like you see with over-pant designs, so you could either use them as overpants or just pants over underwear (see our sizing description above). These pants have two zippered front pockets and one cargo. And we noted some reflective materials to help with nighttime visibility so we included some night photos in our gallery. Just take the Images link above to see those and also all the features I’ve talked about here. Armor is included for the knees and there are pockets for the addition of optional hip armor. The knee armor can be adjusted for height with the clever containment pocket design. The ends of the legs are adjustable as well so you can use them with or without boots and have them fit well. Overall, a VERY nice pair of pants I’m sure you’ll enjoy, especially if you have an eye for quality and good tailoring. :: Paul, 03-25-13

Note About Hip Armor: In Spring of 2014 Rev’It! made a decision to stop including EVA foam hip pads in their pants because they are preparing to conform to recent European standards that will require every part of a garment to provide a minimum level of protection and they anticipate that the foam hip pads previously offered would not meet the requirement. As an option, you can purchase CE certified hip protectors (see below) :: Paul, 04-09-14
