Our Two Cents
The Mercury 2.0’s are a versatile pair of overpants which should work well in a wide variety of climates. The zip out insulated liner is easy to install and remove, and will keep you warm on colder days. When things warm up, simply remove the liner and open the thigh vents to let in some air. On really hot days, I would imagine these would get pretty warm, as the vents aren’t that large so consider these pants for mostly cold to warm weather use. These pants feature a full length zipper down the sides of each leg (on the outer shell and the liner), which will make them very easy to put on over boots and your regular clothes. Another great feature is the knee armor positioning system. There are basically three Velcro strips at the top and bottom of each armor pocket so that you can get the armor to stay in just the right place. An adjustable waist also helps to keep things comfortable. For nighttime visibility, there is Phoslite® reflective piping around the knee area, and a nice large reflective area down by the ankles. A Rainguard liner is also built into these pants to help keep you dry if you get caught in the rain. These should be a great all around pant for those who ride in varying conditions and need that versatility. Take a look at our feature pictures for closeups of these pants.

I'm loving my FieldSheer Mercury 2.0 Textile pants. I've used them on colder rides (high 30's low 40's) and they kept me warm and comfortable. They are a little baggy on me as I'm 6'1 170lbs, but I imagine all textile over pants feel like snow pan... (Read more...)

Overall I'm very happy with my new jacket and pants. The Aqua Tour 2.0 jacket is very comfortable and versatile for cool weather. I'm using it without the liner in 50-60 degree temperatures over a shirt and electric vest. I got an XL. I'm 5'10"... (Read more...)
