Sizing Information

The Street Savvy Moto pants are made of a stretchable denim. We’ve listed the manufacturer’s sizing chart below to help you picke a size.

I have a size 6 regular here in the office. I measured the waist at between 30” un-stretched and 32” stretched. The inseam measures 30” un-stretched and about 31” stretched.

So the measured waist matches the size chart pretty well. As for the inseam length, I’m assuming the measured inseam is shorter than what the chart indicates because a slim pant like this is only designed to reach to the top of the foot. Your best bet would be to choose based upon your dress size and waist, and assume the length will be a few inches shorter than the inseam listed below.

Size Waist Inseam Regular Inseam Long
2 28.5 32 34
4 30 32 34
6 31.5 32 34
8 33 32 34
10 34.5 32 34
12 36 32 34
14 37.5 32 34
16 39 32 34
18 40.5 32 34

Our Two Cents

Speed and Strength’s Street Savvy Moto pants are a reinforced denim pants for women. The denim is of medium weight and is a slightly stretchy blend of cotton and elastic. The style is casual with a dark wash in two colors.

Like other cotton riding pants, these wouldn’t be particularly protective except that they’ve been reinforced at the seat and knees with an Aramid based fabric. That material is commonly used in jeans and riding shirts to give you more protection against abrasion protection should you hit the ground. Those panels are covered on the inside by a nylon mesh material since those abrasion resistant fabrics can be a bit abrasive themselves, so having a liner inside will make them more comfortable. Knee armor is fitted in pockets on the inside of the pant at the knee. Its the usual CE molded armor offered by Speed and Strength and similar to most other manufacturers.

This jean has a typical design up top… zip fly and button close at the waist, with front and rear pockets. The leg ends are kind of unique. They have a zip from the cuff to the bottom of the knee with a placket behind the zipper. You can close the zipper and have a skinny end to your pant leg or open them up and have a wider leg. Just to give you an idea, the size 6 pant on my desk measures about 5 1/2” across with the zip closed and laid flat and about 8” across with the zip open.

These jeans look fashionable, but they also offer some protective capability as well, and the pricing is on par with other jeans like this so they give good value too. :: Paul, 12-05-18
