Below is the Scorpion Sports Womens Pant Sizing Chart. We measured a selection of these pants and found the waist to be about 2” larger than the max waist sizes listed below. Because these pants are designed to be worn over your street clothes, that makes sense. So choose a size based on the chart, and don’t oversize because you are wearing them as overpants.

The inseam lengths measured out to match the chart. I notice the bottom inch or two of the pant leg is sort of an extension flap so they can be shortened without the side zipper making things complicated.

The Medina pants by Scorpion are a classic textile overpant. You can wear these pants over your clothes for protection from the environment (including rain) and to keep your clothes clean. People like overpants because you can use the long side zipper to step in or out of them without a changing room. In that respect they are as functional as chaps.

The shell of thee pants is a heavy nylon material to offer the abrasion protection and then there is a waterproof barrier behind the shell to keep water out. the pants include two hand pockets in front and also the long side zippers. All four zippers are waterproof types, so they’ll keep water out too.

The long size zippers are “two way” meaning you can zip them down from the top as well as up from the bottom. You can crack open the long side zippers at the top to get some air to flow through the pants in warmer weather. And for winter use there is a removable full-leg thermal liner which is pretty darn plushy. I think these pants could easily take you from cold winter weather through warmer temps, but probably not very hot summer temps. So I’d say choose this style for three seasons including wet weather.

Armor is included. The knees have CE protectors and the hips have simple foam inserts. If you want to have something more substantial in the hip area, then take the link below to the SAS-TEC CE inserts. Other nice little touches are the bold reflectives at the bottom of the legs and the leg-end treatment where you can easily shorten the pants by a couple inches without having to alter the zipper (which would otherwise be difficult).
