Icon Automag 2 Jacket For Women (SOLD OUT)

Below is the standard size chart from Icon for the fit of their women’s jackets. We measured the size large to check the chart and it measures out correctly. Also we used the size large for some feature photos on our standard size mannequin Shirley (the size she normally wears) so you can click through and have a look at how that fits.

The Icon Automag 2 is a sport jacket offered in bold graphics or a “stealth” version which is all black. The fit is tailored to the female shape, but the feature list is very similar to the men’s version. This jacket offers a sturdy chassis with a full set of armor and the entire jacket is CE rated.

The textiles used in the Automag are heavy duty and should provide very good abrasion protection if you fall. Also, I think the jacket should last a long long time. The fit is easy to wear, but not overly loose so I think you’ll like it for everyday street and sport riding. With the climate control features built in, the Automag 2 will work great for most seasons of the year. Its got venting at the ends of the sleeves to shoot some air up your arms and then there are zip vents in the front and back of the torso which will move some air too. Also, it’s not a waterproof jacket so the fabrics will naturally breathe well too. For cooler weather, this style includes a full sleeve removable thermal liner.

Included with the Automag 2 is a full set of D3O included (so there is nothing else to buy). There are molded overlays on the shoulders to add some style and to beef up the protection in that area. There is a strip of reflective worked into the design of that armor piece too that is sharp and will make you light up at night in other people’s headlights.

I like the accordion inserts behind the shoulders and also above the elbows. Those make it easy to reach forward and just to move around in general. The arms also have straps so you can snug down the fit and make the armor stay in place better.
