Our Two Cents

The TPG Tech jacket is a simple short waist jacket that is designed to be worn in a variety of ways. The body length is a bit shorter than a jacket you might buy in a sporting goods store or department store which will work well to fit under a riding jacket that doesn’t have an insulated liner. Or, if you want the convenience of wearing this jacket when you reach your destination, you could use this INSTEAD OF the removable thermal liner that came with your jacket. I like the overall style. It is very simple and easy to wear. When worn separately nobody would have a clue that this jacket was a “motorcycle specific” product. The outer side is a windproof fabric and the inside is soft with a short pile fleece feel to it. The waterproof zippers on the pockets give it sort of a high-tech/modern appearance, but the shell and pockets aren’t of waterproof material, so I think those zippers are largely for style. The jacket has a selection of pockets you might find in any motorcycle jacket and they are positioned to be convenient for motorcyclists. Take the “Images” link above to see some good close-ups of those pockets and other features. :: Paul, 04-11-13
