AGV Sport Tracer Jacket

As of this review, the Tracer is a brand new item for AGV Sport and as of yet, they haven’t published any sort of sizing chart for it, so I guess you’ve come to the right place with some help on fit. We did a size check using our Fit Test mannequins Huey and Dewey. We put a Medium on Huey and an XL on Dewey, which are the sizes they normally wear. They just barely fit and for a more casual style like this, they fit too tight, by about one size. Based on this and my measurements, I’d advise you to buy one size bigger in this style than you normally would in men’s clothing. I came up with a brief chart to show you our estimates of max chest and belly sizes for each for a reasonable, casual fit.

Here’s a style for those of you who want a basic black leather street jacket. The looks of the jacket are very “non-biker” in appearance and for everyday use, I think anybody would like the looks. The leather is buffalo, which I haven’t seen in years on a motorcycle jacket. A long time ago, buffalo hide jackets were very distressed looking and typically very thick and stiff, but this jacket’s leather finish is super soft and has a smooth luxurious finish. The metal zippers give it a retro look and so do the horizontal and vertical strips on the chest. The jacket is equipped with the usual CE rated armor pieces in the shoulders and elbows and has a VERY thin back pad, all of which is removable. Most new AGV Sport jackets this year have a back pad shape that can be upgraded to a Forcefield model, but not this one… its shape is unlike any of the separate back protectors we sell (see the close-up pics). The jacket is made simple with respect to climate control features…. it has a vest type thermal liner which is removable. There are no vents, so consider this style for cool to warm weather, but not for hot or cold weather. Overall I found the jacket to be extremely comfortable and very attractive. :: Paul, 05-15-14
