Sizing Information
We spot checked a couple sizes with our Fit Check Mannequins and they fit just fine. I’d advise you to pick the size you normally wear in men’s clothing.
Below is an estimated size chart with chest size ranges which you can use to choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. I’ve included the max belly column so you can make sure the size you choose is big enough for both your chest and belly. The styling of this shirt is made to fit loose and comfortable and is not snug fitting at all. If you are between sizes, I’d advise you to choose down.
Size | Chest Range | Max Belly |
---|---|---|
Small | 38 – 40 | 38 |
Medium | 40 – 42 | 40 |
Large | 42 – 44 | 42 |
X-Large | 46 – 48 | 46 |
2X-Large | 50 – 52 | 50 |
3X-Large | 54 – 56 | 54 |
4X-Large | 58-60 | 58 |
5X-Large | 61-63 | 61 |
Our Two Cents
The Black Nine moto shirt is a simply styled shirt with a few features to beef up protection and usability on the bike.
The fabric used in these shirts is a poly/cotton blend which will be slightly better than a plain cotton plaid shirt for abrasion protection and the shoulders and elbows are reinforced with patches of Kevlar fabric behind the outer shell. The inside is lined with nylon mesh.
The front of the shirt closes with snaps, but there is a front zipper behind the snaps to keep the shirt closed around your body in case of a fall (snaps alone would immediately pop open and render the shirt useless to cover you). Also, the collar tips have snaps to hold them down and keep them from flapping against your chin.
This moto shirt is will appeal to a lot of folks that really don’t want to wear a full-on riding jacket, and it includes the bare minimum of protection features found in moto shirts like this. I’d call it “competent entry level”. :: Paul, 04-03-18
