Sizing Information

The size Medium and XL jackets fit Huey and Dewey, our Fit Check mannequins very nicely, but they offer a snug fit like other European brands!

We put together the size chart below to help you choose a size based upon your chest and belly measurements. Choose a size that is big enough for both your chest and belly. For most people, you’ll find you need the same size you wear in men’s clothing. Using our standard sizing advice will give you a snug sport riding fit, so if you find yourself between sizes in the chart, choose the larger. If you prefer a more loose fitting jacket, you’ll want to go up one size.

Jacket Size Chest Range Waist/Belly Range
50 39 35
52 42 38
54 43 39
56 45 41
58 48 44
60 50 46

Our Two Cents

The Held Harvey 76 jacket is a retro inspired sport style jacket that looks like your father (or grandfather) owned it! The leather is soft and thick and pre-worn feeling right out of the package. Armor is included for the shoulders and elbows.

Wow, there is a lot of quality stitch work going on here! Just take a look at the close up photos… the front includes a two color and two layered stitched leather Held logo in a stylistic design. There is quilting on the shoulder, strips up over the shoulders, horizontal quilting on the sides of the torso, vertical strips in front… and on and on! The leather in the sample jacket I’ve got here for the photos is pretty remarkable… the leather isn’t just the kind where they scuff the rolled edges to make it look old… this leather is legitimately pre-WORN! Its an overall great look and feel. Even the inside is lined with a vintage looking cotton.

The features included with the jacket are pretty typical of a serious sport jacket… D3O armor is included in the shoulders and elbows and a back pad is optional (see notes below).

I’d recommend this jacket for colder to warm weather. It has some venting on the front torso (the two vertical zips on the chest and also two shoulder zip vents. Those will be useful in warm weather. In cold weather, you can close the vents and use your own warm under garments to keep warm (no removable liner is included). Please don’t ride in wet weather… I’d think you’d be upset with the result. The soft vintage-look leather wouldn’t stand up well.

There are a lot of little details with this jacket that gives the impression of very good quality and workmanship. I think you’ll be very pleased when you see it in person. :: Paul, 01-07-19

Add a back protector: We’ve had issues sourcing the back protectors offered by Held, so we aren’t offering those at this time. But in checking the back protector pocket sizes on the jacket, the KR series choices from Alpinestars are a perfect fit and frankly offer more options. For a lighter weight jacket like this, I’d recommend the KR-CELLi or KR-1i so the weight and thickness of the back protector doesn’t overwhelm the jacket chassis, but the KR-2i works as well if you are really concerned about getting the very most rugged back pad you can. Take the link below to the KR-CELLi back protector.
