Our Two Cents

The Shock jacket is made of ballistic nylon and premium leather. The general styling is something different. Sort of high-tech looking, or maybe futuristic/military, but it’s not “over-the-top”. I personally like the overall look. This jacket would be great for your average street rider or someone who tours throughout the year. The shell of this jacket is a combination of ballistic nylon and leather. The nylon shell along with water-resistant zippers makes it “water-resistant”. And for extremely wet conditions, you also get a zip-in waterproof inner liner (this is the liner between the shell and the thermal liner). Any water that gets through the outer shell will be stopped by this waterproof removable liner. This jacket is advertised as being a “4 season” jacket. For cold weather, you get a full-sleeve quilted thermal liner too. One nice feature of the thermal liner is the use of “Kwikwick” material. This material is designed to wick perspiration away from your body. Take out the waterproof liner and the insulated liner and this jacket can be used in warmer weather as well. There are zippered vents in the chest, arms, and back that you can unzip for adjustable airflow. Speaking of hot weather, check out the hydration system. This jacket has a storage pocket in the back that will hold a hydration bladder (most any standard bladder will do… not included with the jacket), the perfect solution for a long hot ride. For those who tour or commute, this jacket includes plenty of storage. You get five pockets with waterproof lining (and the one mesh pocket to hold your hydration pack). For fit adjustment, the jacket comes with adjustable arm straps and waist straps. And for comfort, this jacket is made with 4-way stretch Kevlar panels to maximize mobility. For crash protection, you get the waterproof leather on the arms and shoulders which will increase this jacket’s abrasion protection capabilities well beyond that of an average nylon jacket. And for impact protection you get removable CE armor in the shoulders and elbows along with a foam back pad. Reflective logos and piping increase your nighttime visibility. The jacket has a short rear connection zipper for attaching the jacket to a pair of Scorpion pants (see below). For a closer look at this jacket check out the ‘View Larger Pictures” link above.
