We tried this jacket on our Fit Check mannequins and thought they fit great. Huey is wearing a Med and Dewey is wearing an XL (take the “View Larger Images” link above to see those pictures). We also measured a selection of jackets. Based on those checks, we recommend you buy the size you normally buy in men’s clothing. If you want to check for size based upon a chest measurement or the size you wear in a suit coat, then please use the chart below.
These jackets are primarily for street riders and so they have a fairly “relaxed” fit. The jackets taper moderately from the chest to the belly/waist… about 4”. If you have a bit of a belly, you might want to check yourself with a tape to make sure the size you select will work. Example: a size XL will accommodate a 46” chest and the max belly is about 42”.
Here is Tour Master’s chart. Sleeve lengths listed are from the shoulder seam to the end of the arm cuff.

Our Two Cents
The Coaster 3 jacket has been restyled slightly for 2012. This jacket has a strong “retro” feel to it and nearly any sort of street rider would appreciate it. These jackets are made of a very heavy, but soft cowhide that should be comfortable right out of the box, and last for years. And of course leather will provide the best protection from abrasion injury in a fall. For impact protection, the jacket comes with CE rated armor pieces for the shoulders and elbows and a foam back pad. This jacket is equipped with two zippered shoulder scoop-type vents and two more vents on the sleeves. There are also two rear exhaust vents. These venting features will keep you comfortable from mild temperatures to pretty warm temperatures. And when it gets colder you can utilize the full sleeve thermal liner which will block some of the air from entering the jacket and give you some insulation against the cold as well. The thermal liner has zip off sleeves, so you can use just the vest part or the liner with full sleeves depending upon the weather. Take the “View Larger Images” link above to see some good shots of the liner and the jacket’s other features. The jacket comes with a full circumference zipper and a short rear zipper to attach the jacket to any of Tour Master’s or Cortech’s pants. For those that want a good all-around leather street jacket, I highly recommend this style. It’s nothing too technically fancy, but has all the features most riders will want, and the price is reasonable. Also consider that this jacket would look great either on or off the bike, so you can wear it anywhere without feeling self conscious about your gear. Don’t overlook the Black/White version… it’s my favorite! :: Paul, 11-08-12
