Sizing Information

We tried the size Medium in this jacket on Huey and we put an XL jacket on Dewey. These are the sizes they normally wear and both fit great. The jackets are roomy. My primary advice would be to choose the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. If you are between sizes I’d advise you to go down.

The chart provided by Speed and Strength shows chest sizes for each alpha size that are a bit larger than what you’d normally see for “standard” conversion from chest size to alpha size. Based on my observations (above), the chart seems just about right.

Size Small Medium Large XL 2XL 3XL
Chest 38-40 40-42 42-45 46-48 49-52 53-56
Sleeve 33 34 35 1/2 36 1/2 37 37 1/2

Our Two Cents

This Run with the Bulls Mesh Jacket is made for those really hot summer days. The ENTIRE shell is made of “blow through” mesh material that will let the air pass right through to your skin. A full mesh jacket like this, in the hot summer sun, will actually be more comfortable than wearing nothing at all. The jacket shell’s material will keep the direct sun off your skin and cut down on wind burn from prolonged high speed riding, but since the air passes so freely through it, it won’t heat you up at all. The jacket has CE armor in the shoulders and elbows and has a substantial back pad too. There are a couple pockets in front and also some fit adjusters on the sleeve ends, at the waist and on the arms. You can use those to snug things up and therefore make the jacket more effective in keeping the armor where it should be on your body. We’ve got a great set of custom product pictures you can see by taking the “View Larger Images” link above. We have also included a “night shot” showing the reflectives and a shot of how the jackets fit on our Fit Check mannequins. Overall a nice summer jacket. :: Paul, 04-30-14
