Sizing Information
The sizing on this jacket is comparable to other “alpha” sized jackets and is also in line with men’s clothing sizes, so choose the size you normally wear in jackets and shirts. If you want to double check sizing using a tape measure, refer to the chart below. Don’t be concerned that the belly dimensions are much bigger than your measurement—this is part of the “relaxed” styling. And there are adjustment straps to cinch down the waist area another 2”.
| Size | Max Chest | Max Belly |
| Small | 36-38 | 34 |
| Medium | 38-40 | 36 |
| Large | 42-44 | 40 |
| XL | 44-46 | 42 |
| XXL | 46-48 | 44 |
Tall sizes are available in black. Tall size jackets are approximately 1 1/2” taller in the torso and longer in the sleeves. If you normally buy tall sizes in men’s clothes, these should work for you.
Our Two Cents
Here is a deal you’ll find only at MotorcycleGear.com. We bought all the remaining US inventory in this jacket and we selling them off at a great closeout price. Get one while the inventory remains! About the jacket: The Ventech is made of a tight weave mesh that will allow air to pass through, but should still provide a good level of protection for a mesh jacket. The key impact areas (the shoulders and elbows) are reinforced with ballistic nylon which holds up better to abrasion. Inside the jacket you will find CE approved armor for the shoulders and elbows, as well as a foam back pad. All three armor pieces have ventilation holes which helps keep the jacket extra cool in the heat. When things cool off there is a wind blocking liner that can be installed to extend the usable range of the jacket into the cooler months. For comfort there are waist adjustment straps as well as sleeve take up straps on the arms. The sleeve straps sit fairly close to the elbow joint which means you can feel them if you bend your arm all the way, but it also means they will do a better job of holding the elbow armor in place in a fall. The Ventech has two hand warmer pockets and a zippered chest pocket on the exterior, and an internal document pocket as well. None of these pockets are waterproof so if you need to protect your wallet or phone you will need to have another solution in case of rain. Overall this is a very good quality mesh jacket that looks good and should serve you well in those hot months of summer.
