HJC Cheek Pads for CS-R2 Helmets
- Riders will sometimes need to change the cheek pads that come installed in their helmets. Some people need a little more or less space, while others simply need to install a fresh set of pads for better comfort (and smell)
- The pads both come out and can be installed quite easily
- Use the chart below to figure out what size cheek pad you currently have based on your helmet size, and then pick a replacement set based on your need

Sizing Information
During the production life of the CS-R2 helmet, HJC has made each size with two different cheek pad thicknesses. We have listed the two possibilities in the chart below for your reference. Example: A size Medium helmet might have been made with either a 25mm pad or a 30mm pad depending upon its age. But regardless of what is in your helmet now, you now only have the options listed in the “New Version” column because the other thickness listed in the “Original” column are now obsolete and not available.
You can determine which size pad you have by pulling out one of the cheek pads, the mm thickness is listed on the white label near the bottom snap. And then use the table below to choose a replacement set.
The helmet size you have determines the shell size you have, and you can only put new cheek pads in that fit that shell size. IF you have an XS, Small or Medium helmet you can choose 40mm, 35mm or 30mm cheek pads for that shell size. Likewise, if you have a Large, XL or XXL helmet you can choose 30mm, 25mm or 20mm pads.
Changing cheek pads to change the helmet fit: To get MORE room in your helmet, you need to buy a THINNER cheek pad. To get a TIGHTER fit, you need to buy a THICKER cheek pad.
