Sizing Information

These gloves fit consistently with the major American designed brands we carry such as Tour Master, Joe Rocket, FirstGear, etc, which are “normal” in fit and size. And they are a bit more roomy than some European brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT! that typically run about a half size smaller than the American “normal” fit. Hopefully you have some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

These new Wireform gloves have a similar overall construction as Icon’s Anthem series of gloves. The feel of this glove is just, well, luxurious! The one piece leather palm feels great and since the rest of the glove is slippery nylon that molds to your hand, the fit is great.

The nylon material on the back of the hand isn’t a flow-through weave, so I think this glove will be comfortable in mild to warm weather (but not so good for cold or hot weather use).

The goatskin leather used in the palm will provide a measure of abrasion resistance and should last a good long while. The gloves have a couple rubber do-dads here and there which are largely cosmetic. And finally there is a nice little pull tab at the cuff so you can easily grasp them to help pull them on. The knuckles are covered by a D3O armor piece which is comfortable, but thin. So overall, the protection is kind of skimpy here. Not as skimpy as a “mechanic” type glove, but not robust either.

Overall, a very nice feeling glove that will be easy to wear, but one that is a bit light on protection. :: Paul, 03-30-16
