Sizing Information
These gloves are consistent with the major brands we carry, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.
Our Two Cents
The Kilimanjaro Air gloves are a quality pair of hot weather gloves that are well suited to long treks across the desert. These gloves are set apart from other summer gloves by offering full gauntlet coverage which provides a better seal between the jacket and gloves, as well as additional abrasion protection. As the name implies, the Kilimanjaro Air gloves are heavily ventilated for warm weather use. The fingers, back of the hand, and thumb are all a mesh material for hot weather comfort. The back of the knuckles have a solid textile material rather than mesh, while the first two fingers have a leather overlay up the center of the fingers for additional abrasion protection. The palm of the Kilimanjaro Air gloves is made of a very supple leather, with Clarino overlays with extra padding for vibration reduction. The tips of the first two fingers have a silicone FirstGear logo to help improve grip, and a secure wrist strap keeps the gloves firmly in place.
