Our Two Cents

These gloves are Speed and Strength’s top of the line full gauntlet gloves. While they have a lot of great features and seem to be very well made, I would hesitate to give them the title of “Race” glove. This is mainly due to the fact that they are missing the retention strap that secures the glove at the base of your hand. The only closure this glove has is the gauntlet itself – fine for street use, but I would expect a little more from a race glove. Other than that though the quality of materials used is very nice. Kangaroo leather is used for the palm, which is much softer leather for good control feel, and it is also very abrasion resistant. In addition, key impact areas in the glove are reinforced with Kevlar for an extra layer of strength and protection. Molded protectors are found in the gauntlet as well as over the knuckles. These help disperse impact forces and also encourage sliding vs. catching on the pavement. The first and second knuckles of the fingers have additional padding, as does the thumb and side of the pinky. Overall these are a very nice pair of gloves, and would be great for the serious street motorcyclist. The colors that are on sale are an especially good deal.
