Sizing Information

These gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help. If anything, I found the gloves to be roomy, so if you are sometimes between sizes, then choose the smaller.

Just as an FYI, you may have previous experience with European designed brands such as Alpinestars and REV’IT!, which run about one half size smaller, size-for-size, than the American brands. It is not a universally true fact, but generally holds for most styles. So if a particular size in either of those brands is roomy on you, then you should probably go down one full size in this style.

Our Two Cents

These Sonic Sport gloves are a basic black leather glove for street riders. They do have some nice protection over the knuckles, and in the palm area there is some extra leather in probable impact areas such as the heel of the hand and on up alongside the pinkie. There is a pad of what feels like gel padding in the heel area of the hand also. The short cuff closes with a simple Velcro strap and can be adjusted to work with your jacket sleeve (either over or under). Inside the glove, the back of the hand is lined with a soft silky “tricot” lining but the palm is unlined, so a bit of leather dye will probably transfer to your palms in the early days of use (which is typical for a simple glove like this). The leather is soft and pliable and won’t require much in the way of break-in. :: Paul, 03-05-14
