Sizing Information

These gloves are consistent with the major brands we carry, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help. If anything, I found the sizing of the gloves to be generous… not by enough to advise you to buy a size smaller than usual, but enough to say that if you are sometimes between sizes, buy the smaller.

Our Two Cents

The Device Touchscreen gloves are the second touchscreen glove I have personally tried from Icon. I panned the Justice glove (see link below) because of the way the glove’s fingers were sewn, but with the Device I’m happy to say there is improvement! Now granted, the end of a fat finger covered by soft leather still isn’t a precision instrument for operating a tiny phone, but with the Device gloves, they’ve reshaped how the fingers are sewn. The magic leather used to make the phone go, now wraps up and over the end of your finger, so essentially the entire end of the finger will make the phone work. Yeah! You can see what I’m talking about in the close-up photos… take the “View Larger Images” link above to see those. As for the gloves themselves… I find them to be a very comfortable leather/textile style that feel good and look nice. You don’t often see a gauntlet glove that is part textile. It is kind of nice in that it cuts down on some of the bulk (both on your hands and for storage). The armor on the back of the hands consists of some molded rubber protectors over the knuckles and down the back of the hands. These protectors are bonded to the textile material underneath, so the styling is more subtle, but they still look pretty sharp. The gauntlet is adjustable via a Velcro tab and the glove locks on your wrist with a separate smaller Velcro close tab. The Velcro used is the new non-snag type which is a plus so it won’t grab fibers on your jacket or jacket liner. Overall a nice pair of gloves with a useful high tech feature! :: Paul, 10-07-12
