Sizing Information

I was ready to say that these gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, Joe Rocket, etc, but actually they fit a bit more trim than most others. The fit is very much like European brands we sell such as Alpinestars and REV’IT, which I generally characterize as fitting about 1/2 size smaller than the US standard glove. I’d recommend the size you normally wear, and if you are sometimes between sizes, choose the larger.

Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

Wow, I like these new Ballistic Fusion gloves! They’ll be great for a commuter or city driver. They aren’t as elaborate as fully armored gloves, and therefore they are lightweight and flexible. The shell is a combination of softer textile and leather.

The gloves are waterproof and have an integrated waterproof liner. The liner is bonded to the shell so you really can’t feel that it is there. Gloves that don’t have this feature sometimes feel like the layers of the glove want to wad up inside and you have to work your fingers in and work it around a bit to get it to all play nice, but these gloves aren’t that way at all.

So they are waterproof and mildly protective, but there isn’t an insulation layer, so consider these gloves for cool to warm weather use, but they won’t keep you warm in colder temps. For that, you’ll need something with dedicated insulation and/or electric power.

The cuff design on these gloves is nice too. There is a long zipper on the back of the hand. With the zipper closed, the cuff is trim and will fit under a jacket sleeve, but with it open, you could put it over most sleeves. Very handy.

I was also impressed with the little visor wiper. Even the nicest gloves we carry that have a wiper offer just a single slab of rubber which isn’t all that impressive, but this is like a “triple blade wiper” and it is installed so that it stands up properly. I bet it really works well!

Gosh, for the money, these gloves are great. As I said, they offer only light protection, but that is probably sufficient for many street riders and the great fit and easy storage will be nice too. I think these are winners… well worth the price of admission. :: Paul, 08-27-15
