Sizing Information

Like other European based brands, we find Dainese gloves to run a bit on the snug side as compared to most US based brands. The fit is comparable to Alpinestars and REVIT. The tendency to run small is not so noticeable that we’d advise you to buy one size larger, but if you are sometimes in between sizes, your best shot would be to choose larger. Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The Solarys Short Gore-Tex gloves are a good choice for those that need a waterproof glove with good protection features for warmer times of the year.

This is an un-insulated glove, but since it has a waterproof liner, it won’t allow air flow through so it will be good for anywhere from warm to cooler weather and it wet weather of course. Its a shorter cuff glove so it won’t be as hot as the traditional along cuff waterproof glove.

I like the molded knuckle protector and the very substantial palm slider. Those are armor items not often included in a waterproof street glove. The overall fit of these gloves is comfortable and they gloves are pliable too for a quick break in. The price for these gloves is quite reasonable considering they are a premium brand and offer GoreTex as the waterproofing material. :: Paul, 08-14-18

Dainese says: A short touring glove without insulation, making it suitable for the hottest conditions, but with a breathable waterproof GORE-TEX® membrane, so you’re ready to weather the storms. Complete protection features, including polyurethane knuckle inserts, bring you safety and perfrormance that’s certified to CE – Cat. II and EN 13594 level 1.

Nice gloves overall. The touchscreen tips work great and they seem well constructed. They are a bit puffier than I expected from gloves that are not insulated, but they are comfortable to about the mid 70s even though the Goretex insert keeps the wind from directly hitting your hands.
