Sizing Information

This jacket is sold in alpha sizes. You can go here for a conversion chart if you know your chest size. We recommend you measure your chest and belly to make sure you are selecting a jacket big enough to accommodate both. The belly size in this jacket will be about 6” less than the chest size (for example, a 46 jacket will have a max belly of about 40”).

Our Two Cents

Here is a great all around jacket that isn’t afraid of a little weather. The Aqua Tour is designed to keep you dry when the skies don’t cooperate with your ride plans. It features Fieldsheer’s Rainguard® liner, which claims to be 100% waterproof yet still breathable. In addition to the built in liner, the main zipper has a full length rain flap which will help keep rain from making it through at speed. Another neat feature is the main zipper is a two-way zipper. This is great for those who have a shorter torso as you can unzip a little from the bottom of the jacket to keep it from bunching up in the riding position. There are also snap take ups for the forearm and upper arm (helps to keep the jacket from flapping and keeps the armor in place), and adjustable Velcro belts at the midriff and waist for a custom fit. This jacket is also loaded with pockets. There are four cargo type pockets on the front of the jacket, along with a zippered document pocket and additional pockets built in to the jacket liner. The original Aqua Tour jacket had waterproof zippers on the cargo pockets, whereas this new jacket only has the Velcro flaps, so don’t expect them to keep the contents dry. For visibility, there is reflective Phoslite® piping that runs along the sleeves, and across the chest and back. There are also some nice reflective stripes on the upper arm that will hopefully help those cagers see at night. The full sleeve zip-out liner should keep you warm for cooler temps. With the liner removed, open the bicep, shoulder, and rear exit vents to get the air flowing. Of course this isn’t a mesh jacket, so don’t expect too much once the weather turns really hot (if you’re like me, you’ll be begging for rain at that point). The Aqua Tour includes CE approved armor for the shoulders and elbows, and an SP Memory Foam® back pad for protection. Another nice touch is the added 1680D ballistic overlay on the elbows. This material is extra tough for a little added abrasion resistance. Overall I think you’ll find this jacket is a nice “do it all” jacket which will be just as handy on the morning commute as it is on the open road. And the price for all this is VERY reasonable.

Overall I'm very happy with my new jacket and pants. The Aqua Tour 2.0 jacket is very comfortable and versatile for cool weather. I'm using it without the liner in 50-60 degree temperatures over a shirt and electric vest. I got an XL. I'm 5'10"... (Read more...)
