Alpinestars P1 Sport Touring Drystar Pants

These pants are sold in alpha sizes. We find the pants to run small as compared to Alpinestar’s sizing chart. We developed the following chart to help you get the best fit based on your US pants size. This fit estimate is assuming you’ll be wearing the pants over underwear only (not over other street clothes). These pants really aren’t made to be worn over other street clothes because of the trim fit.

The P1 Sport Touring DryStar® Pants are a well tailored sport fit textile pant. The overall cut is slim throughout which will appeal more to sport oriented riding. (Stocky, short or heavy riders won’t like the cut… I’d suggest a Joe Rocket, Tour Master or FirstGear pant). These pants would be a great choice for the cooler seasons because they have a nice thermal liner and because they are made with DryStar®. DryStar is Alpinestars waterproof internal lining that is waterproof and breathable. These pants don’t have any venting features so we would not recommend them for hot weather, but you can remove the quilted thermal lining to make them more comfortable for mild to warm weather. As far as the construction of the pants goes… The outer shell is made from a durable Cordura nylon that is breathable and strong. They should be really comfortable while riding because they have pre-bent knees to keep you from feeling fatigued while on the road. The legs are also tapered for a sporty look. The tapered cut on the legs makes it possible to wear the legs tucked into boots or over boots. There is a zipper from mid-calf down which when closed makes the pant close fitted at the ankle, but when open they are wider at the ankle to fit over boots. For protection… There are removable foam pads in the hips and removable CE certified knee guards.
