Our Two Cents

For those who like a little nostalgia – the Team Win jacket from Alpinestars is a throwback to “the good old days.” The styling is very reminiscent of an old high school letterman jacket; with the button down front (which hides the main zipper) and stretch collar, cuffs, and waist, this thing is old school. With letterman style patches on the chest, sleeves, and back you’ll be riding on the varsity team. “Alpinestars Racing Ahead Since 1963” is embroidered on the right chest. That in itself is a testament to the quality of Alpinestars gear. Over 40 years later and they are still going strong. Of course this isn’t really just a letterman jacket. Rather, it’s a motorcycle jacket disguised as a letterman. The leather construction and CE approved armor for the shoulders and elbows provide excellent crash protection. There are also foam pads in the chest and back (which can be upgraded to a CE back protector – see below). There are belt loop straps to attach the jacket to your favorite pants as well. There are two zippered hand warmer pockets, three internal cargo pockets, and an internal document pocket for storage. The leather construction and insulated vest type liner should make the jacket ideal for cold to mile weather rides. Without any sort of venting though, you’d get pretty toasty on a warm day.
