Sizing Information

The table below shows Tour Master’s size estimates along with sizes we measured on the actual pants. We find the pants to be accurately sized for the most part, but they do run a little bit bigger than advertised in the larger size range. If you plan to wear them as overpants over heavier clothing, or if you are at the upper end of the waist size range listed below, you will need to go one size larger than indicated here:

Our Two Cents

The name of the Jean Pant is pretty descriptive of what you get. These are simply a jean style pant with armor built into the hips and knees. The knee armor is hard plastic-over-foam GP type and it is CE approved. Very good! The hip armor is single density foam. The knee armor is adjustable for height (varying inseam) which is a neat feature. The pants have two front hand warmer pockets and two rear zippered pockets. The material used feels tough, but like a lot of other textile pants, they are kind of “swishy” sounding when you walk. The pants have a water proof/breathable liner to make them all-weather, but like any waterproof garment, I’d caution that they’ll be more waterproof than breathable, so I wouldn’t recommend these for warm or hot weather—they’ll be cookers! But for mild temperatures or inclement weather, they’ll be a great alternative to plain ‘ole jeans.

I also highly recommend the Power Trip Jet Black Jacket, you can see both of these items in the picture I attached. NewEnough was also very patient with me when I made a special request about my order, of adding an item after I checked out. They were very friendly. (Read more...)

Wore these for the first time I picked up my new bike, and they were great. The temperatures were hovering around freezing and these pants did a great job at blocking the wind! Comfortable to walk and move around in and dont make too much of the swishy noise. (Read more...)
