We tried the size Medium in this jacket on Huey and we put an XL jacket on Dewey. These are the sizes they normally wear and both fit great. The jackets are roomy. My primary advice would be to wear the size you normally wear in men’s clothing. If you are between sizes I’d advise you to go down.
The chart provided by Speed and Strength shows chest sizes for each alpha size that are a bit larger than what you’d normally see for “standard” conversions from chest size to alpha size. Based on my observations (above), the chart seems just about right.

Our Two Cents
This new Speed Shop leather jacket by Speed and Strength offers a unique color and leather treatment that I’ve not seen from our “usual” motorcycle gear sources. The leather has sort of a “distressed” or antique look to it. And there are a lot of little styling queues that add to this jacket’s good looks. For example, the shoulders are quilted in a “bars” pattern which is very reminiscent of jackets from the 50’s or 60’s. And when you look at the close-up pictures (take the “View Larger Images” link above), you’ll see that there is an interesting mix of solid leather and perf leather. Of course the perfs are functional to admit some cooling air when riding, but they look sharp too. The larger buckles for waist adjustment and the horizontal quilts on the kidney belt lean toward retro too. You get all the “usual” features you’d find in any other leather style too… hand warmer pockets, an inside wallet pocket and there is a breast pocket too; in addition you get C.E. approved armor. If you wish, you can attach the rear of the jacket to the belt on your jeans with a couple little snap-close loops located down low on the lining for that purpose. Overall, a very sharp jacket and one that will last a long time. When I picked this jacket up the first time, I was astonished at how much it weighs. The quilted area on the shoulders I mentioned is quite heavy and feels very substantial. Overall, I like this jacket a lot. :: Paul, 06-27-13
