Our Two Cents
The Hell ‘N Back jacket is a sport styled textile jacket with sharp styling. The jacket offers typical features you’d expect on a motorcycle specific style such as size adjustments on the arms and at the waist, a couple external hand warmer pockets, an internal document pocket, removable armor in the shoulders and elbows and a back pad. This jacket goes a bit further by including a hydration bladder that fits neatly in a large pocket inside. There is a rubber grommet that allows you to pass the sipping tube through the shell and there is an external clip to help retain the hose in position on the outside of the jacket. Climate control for warmer weather is better than most. There are four zippered vents on the front and one large vent on the back, which should let in a decent amount of air for warmer weather use. If that is not enough airflow, then you can also remove the lower 2/3 of the sleeves to reveal mesh sleeves! Neat trick. This jacket is also considered waterproof. The jacket shell is advertised as “water resistant”. Waterproof zippers are used and the nylon material will shed water (to some extent). By the way, I like the contrasting rubberized material around each zipper and the looks of the “waterproof” zipper designs. And while the shell is not completely waterproof, the jacket has a removable “Dry Tech” liner which is. The combination of the water resistant shell and the waterproof liner should be pretty effective for keeping your body dry. The external pockets will be subject to some water leakage even though waterproof zippers are used, but the inside document pocket does appear to be lined with waterproof material, so that would be a good place for a phone or wallet if it rains. On the back of the jacket there is a large rear pouch with a zippered closure which would be a good place to store the rain liner when not in use. The jacket includes a short rear zipper for connection to pants. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see the features discussed.
A Note about Returns If there is a possibility that you might be returning this jacket do not remove the hydration packet from the original packaging. Jackets with open hydration packs will not be eligible for returns or exchanges.
