Sizing Information

Visit our Sidi Sizing Information page for complete size conversion info (ladies can use the chart at the bottom of the page). These boots fit very much like other Sidi boots and are true to the chart. Sidi boots are have a medium width which we estimate at “C” or “D”. If you like a wider fit boot, try TCX or Alpinestars which are more like a “D” or possibly “E” width.

Our Two Cents

The Traffic Air 2 is a slightly updated version of the Traffic Air which we reviewed back in 2012. And when I say “slightly” that is an understatement. I had to contact our Sidi distributor to figure out what the difference was. They changed the logo on the shin, changed the shape of the logo, changed the shape of the pieces that make up the foot area and have a slightly different perforation pattern on the areas that are vented; the rest is essentially unchanged.

For everyday riders, you’ll have to search to find a boot that is more simple and convenient to use. The side zipper entry is really fast and the shorter top of this design simplifies any concerns about calf height (because they are shorter the calf size is not much of an issue). Like every other style of Sidi boots, the fit is consistent. Sidi has offered a style like the Traffic for years.

There are a lot of riders that like the look of the lug sole. They offer great stability (wide and flat), and they also offer a bit of extra height for those who may need it to comfortably touch down while in the saddle. (Speaking of height, take a look at our close up pictures for height measurements… click “View Larger Images” above).

The “Air” in the boot’s name refers to the partial perf design. The perfs will allow some air to flow through for comfort in warmer weather. The boots have stiffener materials built into the toe and heel cup for safety and the stiffener in the toe along with an extra layer of material on top will allow you to shift without the boots breaking down. There are some round armor pieces on either side of the ankle bones. The armor pieces are installed between the outer material and the liner so you won’t even know they are there, but they’ll help in case of impact.

As I said, this is a classic design for Sidi and has remained a well liked combination of utility and protection. And the style is “universal” for any type of street rider. Paul :: 02-19-15
