Scorpion Force Jacket

We tried the size Medium in this jacket on Huey and we put an XL jacket on Dewey. These are the sizes they normally wear and both fit very well. This is a sport cut jacket so it is made to fit the body closely. A snug fit is comfortable on a bike at higher speeds because the jacket won’t inflate or flap with a proper fit. Based on what we saw and measured, I’d advise you to wear the size you normally wear in men’s clothing.

Take a look at the sizing chart provided by Scorpion to find the jacket that would fit you the best. The conversions are “standard” and indicate a trim/sport fit. The chart can be used if you want to choose a size based upon your chest measurement and/or suit coat size.

I added an estimated “max belly” measurement too. In a sport jacket like this, you need to make sure the size you pick is big enough for you through the midsection (if you have a bit of a belly).

The Force jacket from Scorpion is a great looking textile style for street/sport riding. It is a short waist jacket, but not short like a race jacket. It will provide full torso coverage but it ends appropriately just below the waist so it won’t bunch up in front when you are on a sport bike. This jacket has a few more features than the run-of-the mill textile style. I like the external shoulder armor pieces. They give a sport look and would also function to disperse impact energy. The jacket has C.E. approved armor at the elbows and shoulders along with a foam back protector. In addition, there is SuperFabric incorporated around the aluminum hardshell protectors on the shoulders. You’ll notice large stretch panels on the chest and back. Those will improve the fit and help with mobility, especially in a forward leaning position. There are zippered vents to allow some air flow on warm days and a full sleeved thermal liner for cool days. Just my humble opinion, but I think Scorpion and FirstGear offer the best removable thermal liners. Some are just flimsy taffeta quilted over a layer of cheap fill, but these thermal liners feel more substantial and the materials feel more durable and expensive also.
