Sizing Information

We tried the size 34 in this pant on Huey who wears a 34 in jeans and we put a 38 Brawnson pant on Dewey who normally wears a 38. The overpants fit great over their jeans in both cases. And just to double check, I used a tape measure. I’d estimate the actual waist band measures about 1” bigger than the stated pant size. Perfect!

Our advice is to buy the same size Brawnson pants you normally wear in jeans. They should work great as overpants since the waist is slightly over-sized. The pants have belt loops you can use to help secure them.

Below is the chart Icon provides for the pant’s inseam measurement. I checked with a tape and the pants actually measure about 1” longer than this chart indicates.

Waist Size Inseam
28 32
30 32
32 33
34 33
36 33
38 34

Our Two Cents

The Brawnson Pants by Icon will be a great every-day workhorse for riders of all kinds. The pants are made of a very sturdy nylon material. The pants are oversize through the seat and legs… partly for styling and partly to make them easy to wear over street clothes. You can use the partial side zips to help you pull the pants on and take them off over boots or shoes. The legs of the pants are pretty roomy, so even though the zipper doesn’t come all the way up the side, I think they will still work easily. There are a couple big cargo pockets on the front of each leg that close with a zipper, and the pants also have traditional front and rear pockets like jeans. The front pockets close with a zipper and the back pockets are just traditional patch style. There is removable armor in the knees and the pocket that holds the armor is a three-in-one design. By placing the armor in different pockets, it changes the height of the armor on your leg. Clever and easy!
