Our Two Cents

The Held Rainstorm gloves are probably about as close to a four season glove as you can get. They are lined with a unique laminated liner, consisting of a GORE-TEX membrane and an insulated, moisture wicking fabric. This laminated liner has several advantages. For one, it isn’t bulky and does not impede control feel at all. In fact, these have to be some of the best fitting insulated gloves I’ve tried on. The second advantage to the laminated lining is it is securely attached to the shell of the glove, so it won’t bunch up or pull out when you take the gloves off. For cold, wet weather, these gloves should be great. I don’t know that I’d recommend these for temperature extremes such as below freezing (I think you’d need more insulation for that), or the heat of summer, but for anything in between they should perform very well. For protection the palm is padded with an abrasion resistant fabric, and the knuckles and back of the fingers get some additional padding as well. These gloves use a combination of fabric and leather construction, be sure to check out the photos we took by clicking the “View Larger Images” link at the top of this page.
