Sizing Information
I checked the approximate fit on these vests and find that they are HIGHLY adjustable through the mid-section and are plenty big for the stated size range. There are lace adjustments on each side that will allow you to snug them down or open them up as needed. There is plenty of room to wear these over a protective jacket (which is the intention). If you are between sizes, I’d advise you to go down.
Our Two Cents
We’ve sold vests like this for a number of years now in several brands… right now we offer FirstGear, Icon, Joe Rocket and REV’IT!. The function of all these vests is to add visibility to your existing protective clothing/jackets. And boy, does this bright orange fit the bill! In addition to the bright orange there is ample reflective material to help at night too. (See our “night shots” in the photo gallery to see how they work). As I mentioned above, the fit is easy with the side stretchy laced adjusters. There is also a Velcro-on ID holder, so you can rip it off to hand to the guard at the gate quickly. And there is one zip-close pocket on the chest.
The orange material is a mesh so wind will blow right through and the inside of the vest is a mesh liner as well, so this one won’t impede the functionality of mesh jackets much at all. The silver and black on the shoulders is solid so if you have shoulder vents up high on your jacket they would be blocked some though.
