Sizing Information

Choose from a remaining size XL or XXL based upon what you usually wear in men’s jackets/shirts.

These jackets are a “sport” cut and therefore a snug when fitted properly. And with a sport cut jacket, it is best to evaluate the fit of the jacket when in the riding position (arms forward, elbows slightly bent). This type of jacket won’t be all that “natural” feeling in other positions such as arms down.

The max chest size of the XL is 46” and the max belly is about 42”. The max chest of the XXL is 48” and the max belly is about 44”. If you have a more trim waist, you can use the size waist adjustment to customize the fit.

Our Two Cents

We are pleased to offer this quality product at an affordable closeout price. You’ll find this deal only at MotorcycleGear.com because the remaining US inventory of this jacket in now in our Texas warehouse. It is on closeout at a great price until told out. Here are our product comments: Ok, first things first… what the heck is Piuma? According to Wikipedia: Piúma is a municipality located in the Brazilian state of Espírito Santo”. I still don’t know how to pronounce it, but anyway… the Piuma leather jacket has very sleek styling and provides the comfort and protection you would expect from a quality leather jacket. This jacket is probably better suited to warmer climates, as a good deal of the leather is perforated. The jacket does come with a vest-type liner, which should block the majority of the wind on the torso, but the insulation feels pretty thin (so don’t expect too much warmth). Another note about the liner – it uses a typical zip in system, with buttons at the armpits to keep it in place. Well, the elastic loops for the buttons are extremely tight, and we had a hard time getting the buttons through to remove and install the liner (so please don’t return a jacket for this reason because they are all that way). A nylon stretch material is used under the arms and down the sides, and flexible accordion panels are used in the shoulders and at the elbows for extra flexibility. For protection, there is a removable triple density back protector as well as C.E. approved armor for the shoulders and elbows. The shoulder armor is also removable, however, the armor for the elbows is permanently sewn into place. Fixing the armor to the shell of the jacket is more secure than just having it in a nylon pocket sewn into the liner. Followup! Thanks to long time customer, Dale from Calabasas, CA for answering my question above: His Answer: “Latigo & Piuma are both local (to Los Angeles, Santa Monica Mountains) twisty, bike-heaven type roads”.

Just so happens the fine folks at TourMaster live/work in the same city! I guess I should have asked THEM! Oh ye of little faith the makers of product to know anything about them :)
