Sizing Information

Choose a jacket size based upon what you normally buy in men’s clothing. If you want to measure yourself to help pick a size, have a look at Alpinestars’ sizing chart. And for those who may have a bit of a belly, we encourage you to consider our estimated max belly sizes listed below. Choose a jacket size that will accommodate both your chest and your belly. This particular jacket felt a bit tight in shoulder width and felt like the arm holes were smaller than most other jackets. If you have a slim to normal build, I don’t think it will be a problem, but if you are wide shouldered or muscular, I’d recommend another size with a more “normal” fit.

Alpha Size Max Chest Size (inches) Max Belly Size (inches)
Small 38-40 35
Medium 40-42 38
Large 42-44 40
XL 44-46 42
XXL 46-48 44
XXXL 50-52 46

Our Two Cents

The T-Dyno is a simple textile shell sport jacket. It will work best for those in cool to mild weather climates. It comes with a full-sleeve quilted removable thermal liner to help keep you warm in cooler weather. You can remove the liner when it warms up. There are no provisions for venting, so consider a different style (or an additional jacket) if you ride in very hot weather. Although this jacket is a simple design, it appears well made (like all Alpinestars products). I really like the small roll of neoprene around the sleeve seam end and around the collar. Those are very comfortable against the skin. The elbow and shoulder armor in the jacket is a CE rated molded rubber type. The back pad is simple foam, but you can upgrade the back pad (see below) and you can also add front torso padding. Take the “View Larger Pictures” link above to see some good close-up pictures of this jacket’s design.
