Sizing Information

The overall fit/size of this new style seems “true” to their published size chart (see below), so if you are comfortable with a certain size from previous boots, then choose the same size. I’d consider the width of the men’s sizes to be normal to slightly wide (D or E).

Our Two Cents

For those of you who can’t stand hot feet, take a look at the Net Air boot from Alpinestars. These boots have a full grain leather upper with mesh panels on the front, side and back of the boots to provide some ventilation. The mesh feels tough, although there isn’t quite as much ankle support as you would find in a full leather boot. There are some molded inserts to protect the ankle bone, as well as a PVC shin plate which helps protect you from road debris. There is a reinforced rubber shift pad, and a reflective heel patch for night-time visibility. The soles of these boots are smooth so they won’t catch on the pegs, and they should be quite comfortable for walking once they are broken in. The Net Air boots obviously aren’t waterproof, but the flip side is they should keep your feet much cooler on hot summer days. We have taken some closeups of these boots in our studio, so be sure to click the “View Larger Images” link above to check them out!
