Sizing Information
When we checked out these pants in early 2012, we really liked them, but the sizing was an issue because they ran WAY smaller than their published size would indicate. The pants are now on closeout (no surprise there), and they are a great deal if you can find a fit. We have three pair left in stock (as of this writing), and we are selling those cheap. Below is the measurements we took of these pants in our warehouse.

The pants have a couple Velcro waist tabs to snug down the waist slightly. My measurements were taken with the adjustment in the largest position, so the pants will snug down an inch or two from there.
Our Two Cents
One of the reasons I like the Bregenz pants is because they come with removable suspenders. Granted, the suspender thing might be a bit of a hassle for short term use, and they might also look a bit dorky, but for longer rides, nothing is more comfortable! Why? I think the main reason is that you can wear the pants comfortably loose in the waist (which is great on long hauls), but they will stay in place when you get off the bike as well without fiddling with a belt or other adjustments. Anyway… just MHO. Otherwise how about climate use? I’d recommend these pants for rain or dry; mild temps to cold temps. The combination of the textile shell and the internal Drystar liner certainly ought to keep you dry. There is even a built-in gusset at the main zipper fly to keep water out. You can use the pants in moderate weather without the quilted thermal liner, but when it gets cold, you can re-install that liner and you’ll be all set.
