Sizing Information

The overall fit/size of this new style seems “true” to their published size chart (see below), so if you are comfortable with a certain size from previous boots, then choose the same size. I’d consider the width of the men’s sizes to be normal to slightly wide (D or E).

Our Two Cents

The Hydro Sport Drystar boots from Alpinestars fit into their line as a waterproof sport riding boot. AS offers a bunch of different designs for use in inclement weather, but the sport boot nature of this boot is its unique feature. The overall profile is ideal for reaching sport bike shifters (thin sole, low profile toe box). Of course it has the usual protective features on the shin, heel and ankles, but you also get those features with a touch of sport styling. You could wear these boots under pants or they’d be appropriate with sport pants (tucked in). The overall build quality looks great to me. Like most European boots, these are made with man-made materials, so unlike leather, they’ll take a bit of breaking in, but no more than other styles like this.
