Our Two Cents

When I first reviewed these gloves, I found some things I didn’t like so much, but then a closeout offer came along and I had to re-evaluate the gloves based upon the MUCH better pricing we were able to get them at. What I do like about the glove is the sturdy cowhide construction all around and the box finger construction. Box finger is a design where the fingers are sewn together so the seams are on the outside rather than the inside of the hand, so the cut edges and seams aren’t inside the fingers against your skin. Most nicer race gloves are cut this way nowadays. And I also like the finger bridge between the third and fourth fingers which help protect the pinkie in a fall. By tying the two fingers, the larger ring finger can help hold the pinkie where it should be and lessen the chances of injury. You see this feature most notably on Alpinestars race gloves. I also like the super sturdy molded carbon protector over the knuckles. The one aspect I didn’t like about the gloves was the “cut” of the leather over the rear wrist area. It doesn’t taper much and there is extra bulk in that area that isn’t really necessary. But now that we scored this deal which makes a race glove available for under $60, I decided to grab them and make them available to you because a “wart” like I’m describing can be easily overlooked given the price! :: Paul, 12-05-13
