Sizing Information

Alpinestars gloves are sized consistently from one style to the next and they compare in fit with other major brands of gloves we carry, so you can choose a size based on previous experience. If you are sometimes between two sizes, choose the larger since Alpinestars gloves fit pretty snugly. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

The Scheme gloves are designed to provide protection to your hands in a short cuff, light weight design. A good portion of the back of the hand is made of mesh material which will allow a great deal of air flow so consider these gloves for mild to hot weather use. For a short cuff style, these gloves have quite a bit going for them in the protection department. As the name indicates, there is DuPont® Kevlar® fabric used to line the inside of the lower palm area (a common contact point in a fall). You can see the fabric if you turn the glove inside out. The outer palm is a combination of synthetic leather and leather which is common construction. On the top of the little finger and off to the side is a molded carbon slider. Overall, I like the combination of mesh, leather and textiles to make a glove that will be comfortable in hot weather, but also provides protection. :: Paul, 04-24-12
