Sizing Information

Normally I find gloves from American based companies to fit “normal”, but this particular pair fits a bit snug. Not so much I’d advise you to buy one size up, but enough to say that if you are between sizes, choose the larger. Also, I find the fingers to be more slender in cut than other gloves, so if you have average to thin fingers you’ll like these, but if you have Fred Flintstone fingers, don’t buy these.

Hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

Our Two Cents

This is a special, limited time sale. The Fieldsheer products in our closeout department right now were all part of a new line of gear introduced in 2014. We really like the products (as you can see from my original review below). But about a year ago, these products were discontinued and sold by the Fieldsheer distributor for mass liquidation through limited channels (which didn’t include us). But through unlikely circumstances, some of the inventory has become available again and we are offering it at VERY GOOD prices. When this inventory is sold through, there won’t be any more, so make a choice while you can! :: Paul, 1-30-17

The overall look of this glove is pretty neat… I made the same comment on the new Legend glove which is very similar to this one, but it’s a full gauntlet glove.

There are hard plastic armor pieces fitted over the three largest fingers and also on the side of the thumb, and there is integral padding over the knuckles. I like the way the hard armor pieces are free floating. You can see this in our photo gallery when I make a fist. Those armor pieces are connected only on the front and sides and the back is disconnected so you can flex your fingers without the knuckle digging into the back side of the armor. This also gives the gloves a sort of medieval look!

Otherwise the gloves are much like other goatskin leather riding gloves. The goatskin should be durable and it will break in nicely. There are plenty of stretch panels…small ones behind each finger knuckle and also long ones on each side of the hand and across the gloves behind the knuckles and on the side of the thumb (the factory video demonstrates this well).

I checked the function of the “Mobile Touch” feature… works fine. I sort of wish it were situated on the very ends of the thumb and finger rather than where it is because the use of it would be a bit more precise. With it on the pad of the finger end, you hide what you are trying to aim at on the screen… but anyway, it will work well enough for you for what little use you’ll have while stopped for a moment. Overall, I think this is a good glove. It looks nice and feels like a good quality for the price range they are in. Be sure and read my sizing advice though... average/slender fingers only! :: Paul, 09-10-14.
