Sizing Information

These gloves are consistent with the major American based brands we carry such as FirstGear, Tour Master, Joe Rocket, etc, so hopefully you’ve had some experience with buying gloves and can choose based upon the fit of a previous pair. If you have no previous experience with glove sizing, go here for help.

In trying on the XL, if anything, I thought the gloves were roomy. Certainly not so much I’d advise you to buy a size smaller, but if you are between sizes and are forced to choose, I’d advise to go smaller.

Our Two Cents

“Different” would be my description of the Gallant gloves by AGV Sport. The overall construction is that of a mostly plain leather glove, but the leather is matte black which isn’t often seen (not sure why because matte sells great in helmets and jackets), and rather than hard knuckle reinforcements, there are some interestingly shaped molded rubber armor pieces over the knuckles. And I also like the palm panels with the high tech honeycomb pattern for a bit of extra wear and grip.

The solid matte finish along with the red, green and white accents gives the gloves sort of a high tech/Italian look. I can picture these being used with urban wear or for any kind of general purpose street riding.

A couple notes of caution about use… these aren’t waterproof gloves, nor are they vented or insulated, so they’ll be best used in mild dry weather. Perfect for a fair weather rider like myself! Also, I notice the cuff closure makes the gloves fit close to your wrist when closed, so these gloves will work best worn under a jacket sleeve. Some race oriented jackets have a tight close at the wrist and won’t go over gloves, so these gloves won’t work well with a sleeve like that. :: Paul, 06-15-15
