Sizing Information

Several of us in the office tried these boots on for comparison to REV’IT!’s size chart(s) and also to compare to the fit of other boots. We found the size chart conversion provided by REV’IT to be accurate, so use the chart to choose a European size based upon your US street shoe size.

As to overall fit, we find these boots are a C to D width, or “medium”. They fit a lot like Sidi boots which are on the more narrow end of the spectrum. Just an FYI, brands that fit wider are Alpinestars and TCX.

Ladies Conversion: REV’IT! doesn’t have a ladies conversion in their catalog, but we’ve always subtracted “1” from the men’s size to get the ladies equivalent which has always worked well.

Our Two Cents

I sure do like the leather finish on these new Ginza boots. You’d feel at home wearing a boot like this anywhere. The finish is very much like higher-end street/fashion boots I’ve seen in stores like Nordstroms. They have a rich, waxed finish. It’s the type of leather that is casual and marks just with the touch of the hand, but the marks can rub right out again if you like. But that is all part of the look. For motorcycle specific use, the boots have hidden ankle protectors built in on the inside and outside of the ankle bone. There is an extra layer over the toe where the shifter hits and the toe and heel box are reinforced. The collar around the top is well padded so these boots ought to break in relatively easily. The soles are “medium” weight and there is some sort of reinforcement in the shank (which is important). The only pan I can point out is that there isn’t a strap or similar thing to keep the laces wrangled in so they don’t tangle on something, but being a higher boot they’ll probably be too far up the pant leg to pose much of an issue. Overall, I really like this boot! Take the “View Larger Images” link above to see the close-up photos we took of this one. :: Paul, 05-22-14
