Sizing Information

Use the drop down menu above to see the available size range. Choose the size you normally wear in a street shoe. The width of these boots is “medium” or “D” width. The fit seems true to size and the width and instep is generous.

Our Two Cents

I’m scratching my head a little with regard to these Sonic R waterproof boots. There aren’t many makers of a waterproof motorcycle boot in this price range, so I give Joe Rocket kudos for offering something that is functional and affordable. The overall design is typical of a waterproof street boot…. all black with a bit of reflective material which works well (FYI, we’ve been including a “night” picture of each product that has reflectives so you can see how each performs in our studio. Some work better than others. You can see those test shots by taking the “View Larger Images” link above). There’s a low heel with a non-slip sole, side entry and basic integral armor in the shin. The boot lacks any protection on each side of the ankle. The boots are equipped with toe sliders… what the heck?? I wouldn’t recommend any sort of racing in these boots…. particularly if it’s raining, so I’m not sure why they are there, but anywhoo…. I realize these are inexpensive boots, but overall, I’m afraid they look sort of inexpensive in overall quality and materials. As long as your expectations for the boot are in line with the price, you can be happy with them. Paul :: 03-08-12
