Sizing Information

We find TCX boots to be very consistent in fit from one model to the next. We checked this boot and it too is consistent with other models. To choose a size, please click here to see the TCX size chart. The general width of TCX is “medium” or D to E. To compare to other brands you may have experience with, I’d say the overall fit is somewhere between a Sidi boot which is generally a bit more narrow and an Alpinestars boot which has a more generous width.

Our Two Cents

Sport riders will appreciate the styling of these Rush Waterproof boots. These are low profile boot which shares many design features and overall styling with a sport race boot. The boot has a thinner sole and overall very light… and comfortable too!

The fit is easy with the lace setup. The laces are “hidden” on the lower part of the foot in hopes that you’d not snag them on machinery, and the boots have a Velcro close tab at the top to cover up the tied off laces for the same reason. Of course the advantage of a lace boot is that you can really customize the fit to suit your taste. I like how the three pairs of eyelets at the top are steel grommets. It makes the boots very easy to lace or loosen so they go on and off really fast.

I find the protection package on these boots to be a notch above other short boots like the “sneaker” style boots. The heel and toe box are reinforced like other motorcycle specific street boots, and there is ankle armor built in on each side of the ankle bones. And there are some external reinforcements on the outside of the toe area, which sort of simulates the “look” of a toe slider package, but they wouldn’t function as toe sliders… mostly for style and maybe a bit extra impact protection.

The boots are equipped with a waterproof liner. Granted, these are short boot and unless you have pant tops that come down over sufficiently, won’t be idea for frequent riding in the rain, but for the occasional shower, you’ll appreciate that extra feature. :: Paul, 10-27-16
