Our Two Cents
The Sonic boot reminds me of other “cross over” style boots that are aimed at dual sport, touring and adventure riders. It’s taller than most street boots and has a very substantial shin protector built into the upper plate in front of the shin. There are also molded stiffeners in the toe, heel and on the outside of the foot (where the buckle closure is located). The boots have a mid-liner which is breathable and waterproof. The overall styling is very sharp and this boot style can be worn either under pants or with pants tucked in. The combination of the Velcro-close flap and the instep buckle make for a secure fit. These boots are heavy duty. Like all Joe Rocket gear they have a lot of features which at first seem like styling only but the more you wear the gear the more you realize every part of the design has a function I love it. These boots have a stiff sole and can feel a bit clumsy on sportbike shifters at first but I have quickly gotten used to them and love the ankle and shin protection they offer. (Read more...)
