Sizing Information
Visit our Sidi Sizing Information page for complete size conversion info (ladies can use the chart at the bottom of the page). Sidi boots are very consistent for fit from one model to the next and this one is no exception. If you know what size fits you in other Sidi models, then choose the same size. Overall width is “Medium” or “D” width..
Our Two Cents
I’ll have to give the Sidi Design Series New York Riding shoe the thumbs up for looks and price. The boots have a sharp black suede finish combined with other sport-shoe meshy-type materials. These shoes are relatively lightweight and comfortable. They should be very comfortable in hot weather because the mesh materials will allow a lot of air flow. The laces allow you to adjust the fit (duh, but I only mention it because many side-zip boots don’t). The overall “heft” of the boot feels average to me. They are a bit more substantial than a lot of “riding shoes” that look like this, but are little more than sneakers, however they are not as robust as a short touring boot (like the Doha for example). The sole has a good firm compound rubber and it feels like there is some reinforcement inside. The shoes have pretty substantial feeling protectors on either side of the ankle and the heel is reasonably reinforced. The toe box reinforcement is a bit weaker than most though. Take a look at all the feature photos we took by taking the View Larger Images link above. These boots really are good looking and a pretty good value for right around a hundred bucks. :: Paul, 12-01-12
