Sizing Information

Several of us in the office tried these boots on for comparison to REV’IT!’s size chart(s) and also to compare to the fit of other boots. We found the size chart conversion provided by REV’IT to be accurate, so use the chart to choose a European size based upon your US street shoe size.

As to overall fit, we find these boots are a C to D width, or “medium”. They fit a lot like Sidi boots which are on the more narrow end of the spectrum. Just an FYI, brands that fit wider are Alpinestars and TCX.

Our Two Cents

I’m checking out a pair of these new Grand shoes by REVIT in the taupe/white color. We’ve got lots of sneaker-type riding boots on our site because they have become very popular in the last few years and almost every manufacturer offers at least a couple. Some are not much more than sneakers (with regard to protection I mean), and others are a bit more robust. These Grand shoes do have some significant protection features and are pretty high on the food chain as compared to others. Styling-wise you can judge for yourself, but in person, the shoes appear to be very high quality… something like what you’d see in an upscale department store. I think you’ll agree they are more dressy than most of the others.

About the protection…. there is an internal ankle protector on both the inside and outside, and the protector is cup shaped so it won’t rub on your ankle bone. The toe box is reinforced as is the heel area. The soles are simple rubber material, but when I bend them, I can feel that there is an internal stiffener from the heel to mid-foot. Reinforcement in this area is important for a riding boot because you’ll be bearing weight on the pegs and you need a shoe that won’t just “fold up” like a simple sneaker would.

Take a look at our close-up pictures and I think you’ll agree the quality is top notch and the styling is fresh. :: Paul, 12-21-16
